Whew....

It has been a whirlwind of a summer to say the least!  I apologize I havn't updated in a while but I will try to be better.  We have had several missionaries with us over the last few months, we have had a guest Pastor from Georgia that is praying about coming to Maine to plant a church, we also had our second annual VBS which was a great success with two children trusting Christ as their Saviour!  Over the summer we have voted to take on two more missionaries which brings the total of missionaries we are supporting to 3 missionaries, praise God!  I am thankful for the work of these men and their families as well as those we have not been able to financially support but we are praying for!  We are getting ready to ordain my good friend Chad Colburn on Sunday at Church Hill Baptist Church in Augusta, Maine which is going to be a thrilling part of this year! I have had the privilidge of working with him for the last 6 months at U.S. Cellular but he was blessed with the ability to be full time at South Liberty Baptist Church after being voted in as their pastor a few weeks ago!  We also have our Missions Conference in October which will be our first annual Missions Conference and we are praying that God will provide through faith promise the funds for us to continue to grow our missions support!  We are praying that God will provide us a piece of property for us to build a Meeting House on as He wills it and in the meen time we are opening a building account to begin saving for the piece of land and building!  In January I will be going to Oklahoma for the Church Planters Conference to try and raise support for our building project!  It is exciting to see all that God is doing in Unity, Maine at Bible Baptist Church!

On another note we could use your prayer about the above mentioned things but also for our son Caleb.  He has a lumb on his neck due to swolen lymphnodes.  They are not sure what it is at this point but we are praying we can get the doctors to agree to a biopsy so we can have some answers.  There is a possiblity that it is lymphoma/cancer of the lymphnodes as well as some other possiblities but we would like to know and be able to have piece of mind or get the treatments necessary!  My older son Elijah also had a seizure Sunday afternoon and stopped breathing for a short time and turned blue.  It was certainly the scariest few moments of my life but through all that is going on good and bad God is good!  Please, pray for some other unspoken prayer requests!  There is a lot going on right now and Erika, the kids, and I have had a rough few weeks.  We know God will get us through and have already seen His hand at work through it all!  We do however covet your prayers and look forward to seeing what God has instore on the other side of the trials! Thank you and keep on living for Jesus!  Glory I'm Saved!!!!!!!

Wow, what a start to 2012!!!

We are so excited about what God is doing already this year.  We have been having some great services at BBC with such a great spirit.  We have been having more special music now that we have a piano player and just started a regular Children's Choir this Sunday.  In February we will be starting an evening Children's program and are going to CHB for our second Youth Service(this is where all the kids and teens do the whole service ie.. piano, song leading, offering, specials, and yes preaching).  This was a lot of fun in November and many folks have been asking when the next one will be, so it's on the books.  We have voted in our first missionary to support, we have booked a missionary to present this summer, and one for our first missions conference in October.  We have our second VBS scheduled and have booked the Crown College Men's Quartet to sing for us in June!  We have a family conference at our church in April with Dr. Ron Caudill from Chikasha, OK and just got the flier for our annual Couples Retreat.  All this is going on and I just got to thinking, it's only January :-)  It looks as though this is shaping up to be a busy but EXCITING year!!!  I just started school at HBBC in Augusta, I'm taking Bible Doctrines 2.  Last night we started studying Christology(the study of Jesus Christ, WOOHOO).  I'm loving it!  God is so good I just don't know what to say, it has been an amazing start to 2012!  Glory I'm Saved!!!!!!!

Thank you God......

We praise God for the kids choir we've had this Christmas and for the wonderful couple on the left who have recently joined our church.  They have brought piano music, a true desire to worship and serve the Lord, as well as a great spirit!  They have been a great encouragement to this pastor and our whole Church!  Praise God!  Glory I'm Saved!!!!!!!

What a God......

In spite of poor weather last night (freezing rain) we had a great candlelight service.  We had a great turnout including two visitors and I had the opportunity to preach the gospel as clearly as possible to some folks that need to be saved.  No one responded last night however I see a softening in there faces and pray that they are moving in the right direction towards trusting Christ as there Saviour!!!!!!!  Tonight we go caroling and plan to have some homemade cookies and cocoa after.  We are looking forward to this evening and pray that it goes well!  If I don't post again for a few days have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!  Glory I'm Saved!!!!!!!

What a day.........

Yesterday my brother Brandon who has been called to preach and is training in our church, our Deacon David, Pastor Mike Britt, the assistant Pastor at Church Hill Baptist Church, my beautiful amazing wife Erika, and I went to Calvary Baptist Church for a preachers fellowship.  It was a great blessing!  Pastor Cal Fuller preached an amazing challenge from God's Word and a little later Pastor Faulk preached another great message from the Blessed Book!  There were some wonderful specials from the school kids and the singing was exceptional!  There was a wonderful spirit in the services and God truly blessed and moved in great power!  I left the meetings encouraged and challenged to stay the course, to not give satan an inch, stick to the basics, and be more zealous in soul winning!  After the meeting we went next door to the school building for some amazing food!  My brother and I had Baptist Prime Rib(ribeye steak) and chicken.  The other folks with us had steak and Lobstah!  Here is a picture of Brother Mike getting ready to enjoy some real Maine Lobstah!!!  We had so much fun yesterday thank you to Pastor Bell and CBC and of course thank you to our Amazing God for all He has done!  It is such a blessing to have Godly men in the ministry to help and challenge a young preacher!  Glory I'm Saved!!!!!!!

Praise God, for answered Prayers...

It has been just over three years since we started Bible Baptist Church.  After three years of singing acappela and praying for God to bring a piano player to BBC, He has answered that prayer!!!  A young couple with many talents from our sending church has decided to come join BBC and serve the Lord here. What an amazing God we serve.  We have had opportunity to lower our music standards, to have other instruments that would have given a contemporary feel, and several other potential options.  Praise God that we have had a supportive, patient, and faithful church family that have loved the old hymns as much as I do, even singing them acapella!  We are so thankful that God blesses faithfulness and obedience.  GLORY I'M SAVED!!!!!!!
